About My Work
My previous experience includes working as a Women’s Footwear Designer at Showroom35 for the Botkier and Etienne Aigner brands. I have learned how to build cohesive lines with styles that are forward and cutting edge, while maintaining brand identity. I excel in sketching and rendering designs for new styles and style updates. Working in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to develop prints, patterns, and detailed specs, fitting and correcting style protos for market samples and production. I also have knowledge in trend research and material orders, as well as setting mood and color inspiration for collections. Through working with Italian tanneries, I have acquired knowledge of luxury materials, leathers, and exotic skins. I have also traveled abroad to factories in Brazil and China to oversee product development for each season. I take pride in these responsibilities that put me in touch with every aspect of the design process.
I have attended prestigious fashion universities, such as the London College of Fashion, where I earned a certificate in Footwear Design and Construction. I graduated with a B. F. A. in Accessories Design with a specialization in Footwear Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. I have also worked as a product development assistant at BCNY International under their Sam Edelman and Michael Kors SMU children’s footwear division. I have interned under Elie Tahari and Tahari footwear at Highline United, as well as under the Handbag and Accessories Design Department at Marc Jacobs International. I am proficient in Adobe suite along with most other design programs. However, sketching and rendering propel my creative imagination.
About Me
I have a passion for travel. My time in London, Paris, Italy, and Malta have given me a sense of history, beauty, and awe. I enjoy spending time in museums, as they are my favorite places to look for inspiration. My minor in art and fashion history from FIT has enhanced my travel experiences. I also revel in discovering and collecting antiques, artifacts, and vintage pieces. I believe in bringing new life to these finds and repurposing ideas from the past in a modern way.
